These have become firmly established for many applications where exceptionally low noises at high speed, dry running, or safety and wear resistant is required.
A variety of materials are used, and we keep an extensive range of approximately 25 tonnes of specialist gear steels, up to 250mm diameter, in stock for immediate use.

Hewitt & Topham Ltd is very much up to date with the computerisation of planning, estimating and quoting. Each component is given a unique part number, and all the information to produce that part is then stored on the file server.
When the part is ordered the necessary paperwork (route, inspection and job cards) are printed, and issued with a unique batch number. This number is then the key for all progressing, raising outside process orders, certificate of conformity (if requested), through to final dispatching and invoicing.
Inspection cards are kept as a permanent record of that parts’ manufacture. If you require a repeat order then the details can be found and quickly assessed to enable commencement of production.
