Our history
Cramlington Precision Forge Ltd. (CPFL) was founded in 1979, on a Greenfield site positioned at North Nelson Industrial Estate, Cramlington in the North East of England. Initially opened to supply Axle Components in the form of Precision Forged Gears to Eaton Axles. Such was the quality of the work produced by CPFL, that it soon won new customers, including DAF, MAN, Parker, Graziano, JCB, Tractech, McCormick and Albion.
Our service
CPFL now enjoy a diverse customer base, in large part due to the servicing of both the automotive and industrial markets. CPFL's products now consist of differential gears, dog tooth clutches, hydraulic pump gears, power tool components, tractor differential gears, earth moving vehicle components, and passenger car coupling flanges and crownwheels.
Our mission
CPFL's mission, driven by quality and technology initiatives, is of becoming a vibrant, dynamic, customer orientated global company. The major initiatives of growth will be through strategic acquisitions and diversifications into new product areas which will help the company in placing itself in a position of strength in various parts of the world in delivering value to its customers.

Raw material, manufacturing processes and sub-contracted heat treatment and coating processes are strictly controlled to customer/industry standards.
APQP, PPAP, and SPC techniques are used for all the new product introductions and CPFL has full capability for metallurgical analysis and component testing, working in conjunction with Newcastle and Birmingham Universities. We're a member of the British Gear Association and the Confederation of British Metalforming, which allows us to keep up to date with technological changes.
