Established in 1945, Northern Tool & Gear is a privately owned company and has an outstanding record of service in the manufacture of gearing components. NTG presently employ 60 people of which 48 are directly employed in the manufacture of gear products and tools.
NTG work with all industry sectors and have customers specifically in the following fields of industry and are open to expansion into further areas; Printing Machines, Mining Machines, the Defence Industry, Diesel Engines, the Marine Industry, Agricultural Machines, Specialist Automotive industry. Our present contracts have enabled us to grow to a turnover of £5 million.
In 1989 NTG were awarded the BS5750 Part 2 and now hold the ISO 9001:2008 standard. NTG are committed to manufacturing quality products for our various customers on the latest machine tools. NTG prides itself in high standards and customer service and is committed to these goals. As part of this commitment NTG has invested heavily in the latest CNC Gear Manufacturing and CNC Gear Checking Machines. NTG has a manufacturing facility of 38,000 sq ft specifically dedicated to the production and manufacture of specialised gears and machined parts, for use in all industries including commercial vehicle, defence, printing, mining, nuclear, food, oil, marine and air compression.
