FLSmidth MAAG Gear stands for almost one century of experience in the development of gearsWe have almost 100 years of experience in manufacturing gear units. The company was founded in 1913 and quickly expanded into an international group. The first two-stage planetary gear unit for a horizontal mill in the cement industry was produced in 1966. Today, the product range includes various heavy-duty gear units for mills, gear solutions for bucket wheel excavators and belt conveyors, and maintenance systems for all types of plant. In addition we manufacture components such as bevel sets and girth gears up to 11,2 m diameter, and various spare parts.
At our headquarters in Winterthur, Switzerland, over 100 employees work in development, design, finance and marketing. Production takes place in two modern plants in Poland and Italy, both equipped with high-performance production machines. In Elblag, Poland and Milano, Italy over 200 employees manufacture gear units, drive systems and components which satisfy the most demanding quality standards.
